Your First Research Paper Mentorship Program

What is the “Write Your First Research Paper” Program?

In this program, we help students in a step-by-step approach to write their first research paper in 4 months. This is done through online lectures, weekly assignments, and continuous individualized feedback from Professors and PhD mentors. Our mentors have guided many students in publishing their first research papers.

What will I Achieve by the End of the Program?

  1. A Research Paper to include in my college and job/internship applications.
  2. A Research Poster/Deliverable that I can use to participate in science fairs/competitions.
  3. A certificate of completion and an individualized reference letter of the student’s performance and research paper signed by a research mentor.

What Research Topics Can I Do?

Our program empowers you to find a research topic that matches your interests and background. We teach in the program methods for data analysis, mathematical modeling, computational simulations that can be applied to a wide-range of research topics including: data science, engineering, healthcare, biomedical sciences, and social sciences. Our mentors will help you find a research topic that you can succeed in as part of our program.

Example of Research Topics From our Students’ Projects
  • Improving Renewable Energy Distribution Networks with a Queueing-Based Model
  • Video Analysis of Stem Cells Using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) Models
  • How Different is the Sentiment About Political Topics Across Newspapers and Social Media: A Data Science Approach
  • An Offchain Blockchain Solution to Improve the Latency of NFT Marketplaces

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

I have questions about the program, how can I reach you?

You can join an information session (by clicking here) where a research mentor can answer all your questions about the program. You can also send us a message through this form: https://researchcollegeprep.com/contact/

Is the program focused on a specific area of science?

The program is primarily focused on research using STEM-related methods (including mathematical modeling and analysis, machine learning, and simulation). However, students interested in applications outside of STEM can still apply the methods learned in the program to write a research paper that utilizes STEM methods but for their domain-specific application.

What background do I need to succeed in this program?

The program is designed for high school students and early undergraduate college students. To succeed, participants must have a strong command of the English language, particularly in reading and writing. Also, we expect participants to have basic familiarity with mathematics at the level of a high school sophomore. With the program’s focus on STEM-related methods, students with a strong background in mathematics or computer science will have the opportunity to achieve greater outcomes.

What if I join the program and I do not like it?

You can leave the program and get a refund within 14 days of starting the program. For the Expert Pack, we offer a full refund if the student did not write a paper by the end of the program.
