One of the hardest parts of starting your first research project is simply knowing how to begin. I’ve helped many students take those first steps, and it usually comes down to two key things:
1. Defining a unique research question.
2. Creating a step-by-step plan to go from idea to full research paper.
If you’re feeling stuck, I’d love to help!
To send you a personalized research question and plan, send me an email to mentor@researchcollegeprep.com (by July 12) with the following:
(1) What are your interests? This could be anything: technologies, sports, hobbies, world problems, etc.
(2) What’s your technical background? Let me know what programming languages or computational tools you know or want to learn (e.g., Python, machine learning, simulations), and any other areas you’re interested in (like data science, engineering, or math modeling).
I’m excited to hear from you and help you take your first steps into research!
